THE LIC in the beginning... The Louisiana Insurers' Conference (LIC) was created in 1942, and has provided the life and health insurance industry and our policyholders 60 productive years of leadership and service in shaping, developing and strengthening our industry in Louisiana.

Purpose

Meetings
| The Conference meets four times each year to discuss trends in the industry and developments of interest |
| Early into each legislative session the Conference meets to review legislation and discuss positions on certain House or Senate Bills |
| After each non-fiscal legislative session, a legislative seminar is held in which the Conference meets to review the session |
CONTINUING EDUCATION... LIC is also a provider of Insurance Continuing Education Credits for the Department of Insurance. We offer programs to provide information on critical legislation and regulation, company management, marketing, communications, underwriting, claims, taxation, investments and more!
